School Council

Our school council consists of children from years 5 and 6, who are voted in each year by the other children.

The children meet most weeks to discuss issues and carry out administrative tasks. They aim to visit other classes each half term to gather ideas and to share updates about the work that they are doing.

The children are keen that the whole school are involved in driving forward improvements to make Scotton Lingerfield an even better place to learn; they are currently organising fundraising events for each of the classes to raise money to improve the outdoor areas.

Our School Council

Message from the new School council

We are proud to have been elected as School Councillors. We have visited all classes in school and taken ideas from them about how they would like to improve the school. A popular idea was a shelter outside where children can play board games or read and this is the project that we would like to work towards. We will be organising a range of fundraising activities to help us reach our goal.

We will send out letters to inform you when our events are being held and we will produce a termly newsletter to keep you up to date withour progress.
